Hi
with your test setup and 2,5s or slower weapon i must agree with you.
WF/WF is the best setup.

But what happeneds if you put in lava lash on CD also with glyph of lava lash equiped and try with WF/FT.
+ Add EC and instant LB´s on CD also, maby even add Static chock + imp Lightning shield togather with Concussion and elemental fury talents.

I´m rally crappy at testing things out, but from my experience i find that with the 35% damage bonus on lava lash + the extra spellpower from FT weapon i get an overall higher damage output thanks to the boost on lava lash earth chock instant LB´s and orb hits.

Not sure what builds you are running but this is what i find the best DPS setup “http://thottbot.com/shaman/t#EUg1/gFYFz.YTj3″.

If you have the chanse i´d love to se a damage calculation on that build.

I would really like to know if any tests were done on a faster OH weapon. When im using FT on fast speed OH, the dps seams to surpass what i would get if I were to use WF on OH.

A hero class will not be over-powered over other classes. It would simply have more ’situational’ moves, and less consistently performing moves (but not so much so that they are useless when withotu their cooldowns). Given that a large factor in creating the death knight was the shortage of tanks, I imagine that the next logical hero class would be a healer of some sort.

Well no, because in a very selfish way you’d normally do agility. Your primary purpose is to buff the other DPS and TBH if you don’t do that job well, you should be replaced with another DPS. What you should bring to the raid is not only your own dps (lets say its low at 1000DPS) but also the buff to the other 4 Melee. So what you lack in DPS you are hopefully buffing the other DPS the other.. 500-600 DPS. If you aren’t able to do that, you should be replaced with someone else that can do 1500 or 1600DPS.

Its not hard to play so that you are a benefit to the raid. Your reward should also never be top dps. If you are, your guild leader should /gdisband there and then.

Well recently, as in the past week, our guild has downed Teron, Bloodboil, RoS, and Mother. Bloodboil was a bit of a challenge due to massive healing, at first I just dps’d through the fel rage. However, we were running with only 7 healers, and they stuck with the Fel Rage target and couldnt worry about the tanks, so I threw on my healing mace and shield and just spammed chain heal on the tanks. However, with one dps not doing dmg during fel rage where threat is out the window, it took a bit longer than expected. As for when fel rage is on you, throw healing mace and shield on, pop sham rage, and just spam lesser heal. As for clothies, if any of them PvP have them bring that gear for the fight. Overall dps will lower, but this is not a dps fight, just a survivability fight.

Best of luck with him, can be a hassle for the healers.

I looked at the numbers and heres what i thought.

Reduce the stuff you don’t need for the maths, i.e. white damage, stormstrike, wf on main, and lightning bolt.

What you hasve is windfury total vs windfury + other
windfury on both = 40000 = mainwf + oh
for flametongue = 40000 = mainwf (28000) + oh (12000)
For frostbrand = 31000 = mainwf (20000) + oh (11000)
For rockbiter = 36000 = mainwf (26000) + oh (10000 (9672)(62*120*1.3 (time flurry active which is approx 100%)))
if we assume wf on main is about 27000 then ohwf is equivalent to about 13000. (note this is all approximate maths)
Therefore
windfury = 13000
Flametongue = 12000
Frostbrand = 11000
Rockbiter = 10000
Another test you could try would be get the same weopon in mh and oh. have wf on oh and ft on main and compare. wf will have to be noticably higher than ft to justify (as it will be fighting for proc time against main hand when both wf). Also 2 mins is very short.

On my investigation at lower levels i found ft ftw on oh.
